This privacy notice explains how AP Hair & Beauty looks after personal information you give us or that we learn by having you as a client and the choices you make about marketing communications you agree that we may send to you. This notice explains how we do this and tells you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

What Information We Collect About You

In order to give our best possible customer service we may collect some of our client’s personal information. This information will only be used in ways which our clients consent to. Clients under the age of 16 will only have personal information kept if consent is given by a parent or guardian.

• Telephone numbers, email addresses and postal addresses will be used as a way of contact between ourselves and our clients.
• Medical history and Allergy information may be required for reference, due to the nature of our services and also as many of our product that we use require patch testing.
• Previous treatments received within the salon.
• Payments and transaction information through Lloyds Cardnet.

How will we use client information?

Client information will be used to contact clients for various reasons, these will include:

• Appointments Reminders.
• Amendments to appointments, if needed.
• To inform of any changes to salon opening times.

Marketing

What is Marketing?

With the consent of our clients we would like to use marketing to send out any offers which we may have. This can include discounts for birthdays or special occasions, seasonal offers and other discounts which we may make available. These will be sent either by text message, email or post.

In order to receive these offers clients must sign a consent form at the salon to say that they are happy to receive marketing from us. Clients can also opt out of marketing at any time.

Where is the information stored?

Client record cards containing any personal information will be kept securely locked in a file within the salon and securely on our online booking system. These can only be accessed by staff. Records will be kept for up to two years after a client’s last visit, with the exception of payment transaction information which will be kept for 6 years.
